Kiasu-ism

I realise that Singaporeans might not a willing kiasu citizen. It’s the environment and surroundings that forced us into one.
I never thought myself to be kiasu. I will never rush into the train before the others come off. Neither will I push myself in front of the doors of the train. I’m always at the side. I will like all the kiasu people enter first although I am always damn pissed off with their “cut queue” attitude. (I also reckon that when trying to get onto a bus or train, you should always stand behind the person that is already in the queue. And not just walk nearer to the door and enter the train/bus) However, after starting to commute to work with train make me more and more like a typical Singaporean! But I am forced by circumstances! If I don’t, I will never get onto the train. This means I will be stuck there for so long! I don’t have a choice! I am a victim of circumstances. *wtf* Public transport has made me a kiasu Singaporean! 0_0
The lethal combination of work and public transport has made me a much meaner and angrier person! I will always stare daggers at the person who refuse to move inwards, or the person who keeps leaning on me, or the person who leans on the whole bar, or … technically EVERYONE! I will spew vulgarities inside my heart about the person who cuts my “queue” or anyone who pissed me off! Gosh. Where’s the nice, patient and everything goes girl that used to live inside me?! ARGHHHH …. Working in Singapore has robbed me of my innocence and patience! (Although Roy will say that I have not much patience to start off with. BUT that’s beside the point!)

I AM NOW A MEANIE! All thanks to public transport! *wtf*
