What will my world be like without the ability to see? I cannot imagine what it is going to be like. But I guess it may just simplify my life.
These will be the superficial changes that I can think of:
1. I will not have spent a cent on make up. (For obvious reason, I can’t see to put anything on my face. And I will not have much cared how others see me b’cos I can’t see myself to begin with.)
2. I will not have spent so much money buying all sorts of clothing, dresses, bags and shoes in different styles and colours (As above, I will not have much cared how others see me b’cos I can’t see myself)
3. I will not have spent HEAPS of money on my HK dramas. Maybe I will still b’cos although I can’t watch it I can still hear the conversations. And I guess after all 75% of the time now, I hear TV more than watch it anyway.
3. I will not have so many unrealistic crushes on good looking / hunky / drool worthy guys on the black box!
4. I will not be so fat. (If I can’t see the food I will not be tempted into eating it.)
So much so for being superficial. I guess the strength, independence and determination for those who are visually challenged are amazing. It’s something that I never think I will be able to achieve.
